Are you having a hard time enjoying the summer with your friends because the homesick blues got you down? No problem — you’re allowed to leave early! We’ll greatly miss you, but we understand. Here are a few tips if you’d like to leave before your lease is up on July 31:
- Check with the office before leaving to make sure your account balance is zero. Remember, if you don’t have a takeover, you’ll still need to pay July’s rent on the 1st.
- Pack all of your belongings and take them with you, as you’ll not be permitted back into the apartment after turning in your keys.
- Inspect your room to make sure things are clean and all furniture is accounted for.
- Come visit us in the office to say goodbye! We’ll need both your room key and mail key when you come in, as well as a forwarding address. We’ll also need about 10 minutes to inspect your room, and then you can be on your merry way!
Have a small fix that requires maintenance assistance, but don’t know how to resolve it? Simply put in a service request one of two ways. You can call the office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays during regular office hours, OR file a request online through your account at campuspointekent.com. Please keep in mind that our maintenance team has limited hours on weekends unless it is a fire or flood emergency, so don’t be alarmed if your request is not handled until Monday — we’d never forget about you!
Reminders & Updates
Rent is due on the 1st of each month, but you have until the 3rd to pay your rent before late fees begin accruing on the 4th at 8:00 a.m. If you have any questions regarding the payment portal or about your account, please see Jackie Grant in the office or email her at [email protected]
Are you interested in adopting an animal? Check out One-of-a-Kind Pets or Paws and Prayers in Akron, or PAWSibilities in Twinsburg. Rescuing is the most gratifying way to save an animal, so don’t shop — adopt! Once you have, come to the office to get your furry friend registered, and don’t forget that since you’re now a pet parent, it is your responsibility to pick up after your pet when they do their business.
June is hot. What’s the best way to stay cool? The Campus Pointe pool — duh! For those of you 21 and over, we kindly ask that you remember glass is not allowed in the pool area. Anyone with glass bottles will be asked to take their refreshments back to their apartment, as broken glass means a broken pool — don’t be that person! Also for the pet parents out there, animals will not be permitted in the pool area due to sanitary reasons. We hope you understand!
Summer Like a Local
Whether you are going home or staying put for the summer, take advantage of all our community has to offer! Summers can be a great chance to enjoy the area in some new and different ways. With the hectic pace of school, many students miss out on the opportunities to get involved and have fun in their local community during the academic year — it’s time to change that! - Do something touristy
- Visit a farmers market
- Check out a local sporting event
- Visit your Chamber of Commerce website to find out about local attractions
- Find a calendar of nearby fairs and festivals
- Enjoy Fourth of July festivities and fireworks
- Hike or bike a nearby trail
- Volunteer with a local organization
- Have a picnic
- Go to an outdoor movie or concert
- Run or walk a local 5K
We’ll also be planning events and activities for you throughout the summer, and if you need ideas for other fun things to do in the area, please let us know. We have information on area resources and a local calendar of events on hand to give you plenty of options. Have a memorable and fun summer!

We Heart You Wednesdays
Every Wednesday from here on out, do yourself a favor and stop by the clubhouse during office hours so we can show you how much we appreciate you. Our CAs will gladly assist in making you a free bag of popcorn just to say thanks for calling Campus Pointe your home!
Friday Night Features
Our friendly neighbor, Family Video, has been so awesome to donate a new release to us every week! Come into the office and tell us which movie you’d like to see, and we’ll be more than happy to try accommodating your requests. Movies will always start at 7:00 p.m. sharp!
Summer Luau — Thursday, June 25 from noon–4:00 p.m.
June 25 will be a day you won’t want to miss — Campus Pointe will be hosting a luau at the pool! Staff members will be grilling hot dogs for you, and refreshments will be provided, as well. We request that you bring your wallet, too, please, as we’ll be taking small donations for Relay For Life if you’d like to try to pie a CA in the face or compete in a cornhole tournament!
