We hope that you’re settled in to and enjoying your classes and your home here at Campus Pointe. We’re now renewing leases for the 2017–2018 year and would like to remind you that due to large incoming class sizes at Kent State University, housing in Kent is filling up very quickly. In order to ensure your spot and the lowest rate for next year, it is vital that you renew as soon as possible. Stop by the office to renew today!
Locked out or have a maintenance emergency? Remember there is always a Community Assistant on call! Just call the office at (330) 673-2202, wait for the list of options, and dial 9. You’ll be connected with the Community Assistant who will be able to assist you.
Cleaning tip: Running a few ice cubes in your garbage disposal can help sharpen the blades and remove some of the caked-on debris. Looking for extra cleaning power? Pour a tablespoon of baking soda down the drain first and slowly pour ¼ cup of vinegar, then run four ice cubes and rinse clean!
Reminders & Updates
Here are some tips for a successful year at Campus Pointe:
Rent is due on the 1st of each month! Luckily, you have until the 3rd to pay your rent before late fees begin accruing on the 4th at 8:00 a.m. If you have any questions regarding the payment portal or about your account, please see Jackie Grant in the office or email her at [email protected].
We are officially towing! Baker’s Towing surveys the parking lots every evening. Make sure your parking pass is located in the lower left-hand corner of your rear windshield to avoid any confusion. Please remind your guests that they must park in the visitor lot to avoid being towed.
Need something fixed? Submit a service request in one of two ways: You can call the office during regular office hours, or submit online through your resident portal at campuspointekent.com. Please keep in mind that our maintenance team has limited hours on weekends unless it is an emergency, so don’t be alarmed if your request isn’t handled until Monday.
We hope your academic year is off to a great start! Did you know research shows that those who are involved outside of the classroom are more successful in their academic pursuits?
If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to find opportunities to get involved on campus and in the local community. Your campus’ student activities office is a great place to start to find out about clubs, organizations, and campus events. You can also connect with our team. Whether it’s the chess club or intramural football, or volunteering at a local shelter, we would love to help you find ways to get involved and connected both at your Campus Advantage community and on campus.
Campus Advantage is also a national partner with Relay For Life, the largest worldwide fundraising initiative to support cancer research, survivors, and their families. If you would be interested in participating in your community’s Relay For Life team, please let us know. So far, with the help of our residents, we’ve raised $200,000 for Relay For Life!
Whatever you choose, we encourage and challenge you to get involved, stay active, and give back! Please let us know what we can do to support your experience.
